Stop kicking yourself for not getting a garden started this year and get down here! We’ve got lots of starts that would LOVE to be in the ground, and are just waiting to flourish.
We have many herbs including: mint, rosemary, basil, and even a few stevia plants! In case you haven’t heard about stevia, it is an all-natural, zero-calorie sweetener that’s delicious. We also have tomato plants, rhubarb plants, and some beautiful flower planters that will add a little color to your garden.
There are also many short-season veggies you can plant now including: bush beans, peas, lettuces, arugula, small bulbs of shallots and bunching onions, and cole crops (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kohlrabi, kale, rape and collards). Here is something interesting: cole is the Old English word for cabbage, and these days it is used to refer to the group of closely related vegetables mentioned above – although we still use the word when we call cabbage salad coleslaw.
So, get your beds ready and your soil fortified, come stock up on seeds and starts, and get ready for a late-season harvest!
